South Korea’s leading tire maker Hankook Tire & Technology Co. announced Tuesday that it signed a partnership to supply tire and other equipment to Canada’s transportation company Challenger Motor Freight that provides logistics and distribution services across Canada and North America. Hankook Tire agreed to provide premium truck tire AL21 and low platform trailer tire TH22 in various sizes to the Ontario-based logistics firm. The AL21 is a long-haul steer tire that has innovative groove design and improved grip force to provide long mileage and outstanding fuel efficiency. The TH22 has three straight grooves with zigzag design and wide tread to enhance durability and mileage. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The nation’s top tire manufacturer has been strengthening the efforts to broaden its global presence by expanding truck and bus tire lineups with cutting-edge technology. It has been actively participating in international exhibitions including the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, IAA Commercial Vehicles and tire exhibition The Tire Cologne in Germany to showcase its latest technology and innovative design. It is also ramping up its partnerships with global premium brands.

The company participated in the annual International ADAC Truck Grand Prix held from last Friday to Sunday in Nurburg, Germany, - its sixth attendance - to display its truck and bus tires at an exhibition zone. It allowed visitors to see its selected products in a special zone dubbed Hankook Brand World in the paddock.
