KT Corp. will expand the distribution of original content from Genie TV, its internet protocol television service, to other streaming platforms, the company said Sunday.
Previously exclusive to KT’s IPTV subscribers, the content will now be made available on over-the-top (OTT) services such as Tving and Netflix. The move is part of KT’s strategy to grow into a competitive content provider in the global market.
KT released the drama series “Mother and Mom” simultaneously on Tving and Genie TV as free video-on-demand (VOD) content in March 2025.
