Lee Young-jun, chief executive officer of South Korea’s Lotte Chemical Corp., recently visited the company’s business sites in Malaysia and Indonesia and emphasized the importance of creating safe workplaces and generating global synergy.

Lee visited the Lotte Chemical Titan plant in Malaysia on Thursday, where he encouraged local employees.

“Safety is the foundation of the chemical equipment industry,” he said. “We will provide prompt support to ensure safe plant operations.”

“Let’s set goals for positive improvement and innovation, and boldly take on challenges to overcome crises,” he said.

He traveled to Indonesia the following day to visit the site of the Lotte Chemical Indonesia New Ethylene (LINE) project, a major initiative being pursued by the company.

The project involves building a large-scale petrochemical complex with annual production capacities of 1 million tons of ethylene, 520,000 tons of propylene, and 250,000 tons of polypropylene.
