BINZHOU, China Feb 24, 2026 /AsiaNet=YONHAP/-- To deepen integration between Binzhou's cultural industry and the Middle Eastern market and support the initiative of "Binzhou Enterprises Going Global," two representative inheritors of Binzhou's intangible cultural heritage were recently invited to participate in the 23rd Sharjah Heritage Days event. Liu Cuicui, an inheritor of Binzhou's traditional incense-making craft, and Zhang Huihua, a national-level inheritor of Boxing willow weaving, were selected as representatives of traditional artisans from Shandong Province. Through live demonstrations, they presented the artistic value and cultural richness of Chinese intangible cultural heritage to the global audience, contributing to the global outreach of traditional Chinese culture.

Sharjah Heritage Days is the largest and most influential folk cultural event in Sharjah, the third largest emirate in the UAE. This year's event, themed "Light of Authenticity," brought together local sheikhs, senior officials, and cultural figures from the UAE and internationally. Through live displays, the Binzhou artisans' on-site presentations offered a vivid display of the craftsmanship and cultural significance of incense-making and grass-and-willow weaving, earning widespread appreciation from international guests.

By using intangible cultural heritage as a bridge, the event not only promoted fine traditional Chinese culture but also facilitated mutual learning and exchange between civilizations. It served as a successful endeavor for Binzhou's intangible cultural heritage and cultural industry to "go global."
