Lotte Hi-Mart Co. has launched sales of solar power systems for home use, in line with rising electricity costs and growing interest in eco-friendly energy.

According to the company on Sunday, the new service is available at its Sangmu branch in Gwangju. It plans to expand to five stores this year and eventually to 50 stores nationwide.

The main products include solar modules, inverters that convert solar power into electricity, solar-powered lighting, and energy storage systems such as power banks.

Lotte Hi-Mart said it will provide a one-stop service covering consultation, installation, and after-sales support.

To promote the adoption of solar products, Lotte Himart has signed an agreement with eco-friendly energy solutions provider Hanwha Qcells.
